A local start up asked us to design a working environment that messaged their brand and goals.  MindMixer is a nationally recognized think-tank group that facilitates virtual town hall meetings for local community planning.  Using this notion of “mixing” we came up with a visual material strategy which employed multi-colored plexiglass sheets.  These sheets provided filtered, natural daylight into the offices and collaboration rooms while “mixing” the colors as the sun emitted light from outside in.  This led to a kaleidoscope of colors throughout the day, giving life to the interiors.  On a tight budget, oriented strandboard was used to create the custom furniture for the breakroom, providing a unique, complimentary texture to the multi-colored plexi-glass.
